چکیده
In this paper, we report on surface-plasmon-resonance enhancement of the time-dependent reflection changes caused by laser-induced acoustic waves. We measure an induced several acoustical modes, such as longitudinal, quasi-normal, and surface waves, a factor 10–20. show that longitudinal quasi-normal modes are enhanced in wings plasmon polariton resonance. The wave-induced peak attribute to wave mode shift resonance via acoustically electron density grating geometry changes.

Optical Chirality Enhancement in Twisted Arrays of Plasmonic Nano-rods
An important property of electromagnetic fields, which arises from the interaction between fields and chiral molecules, is called optical chirality. By enhancing this field property, while maintaining constant input power, we are able to increase absorption of circularly polarized light by chiral molecules of a certain handedness. This enhancement is achieved through the use of achiral plasmoni...

Compared with single-focus optical-resolution photoacoustic microscopy (OR-PAM), multifocal OR-PAM utilizes both multifocal optical illumination and an ultrasonic array transducer, significantly increasing the imaging speed. A reflection-mode multifocal OR-PAM system based on a microlens array that provides multiple foci as well as an ultrasonic array transducer that receives the excited photoa...

متن کاملReflection mode photoacoustic measurement of speed of sound.
We present a method to determine the speed of sound in tissue using a double-ring photoacoustic sensor working in reflection mode. This method uses the cross-correlation between the laser-induced ultrasound waves detected by two concentric ring shaped sensors, while a priori information about the depth-position of the photoacoustic source is not required. We demonstrate the concept by estimatin...
متن کاملPlasmonic enhancement of fluorescence for sensor applications
In this work we report on the so-called plasmonic enhancement effect, whereby the presence of metallic surfaces or particles in the vicinity of a fluorophore can dramatically alter the fluorescence emission and absorption properties of a fluorophore. The effect, which is associated with the surface plasmon resonance of the metallic surface, depends on parameters such as metal type, particle siz...
